Steve was fantastic from start to finish, came out to look at the job when he said he would. On the day of the job he arrived promptly and got on with the work, He kept me informed and cleared up for us after the truck Left that took away the soil. The price was a bit higher for the muck truck but to be fair we all underestimated exactly how much soil there was. Steve’s Fee remained as the quote And was reasonable for the work he did excavating with his digger. We would highly recommend him and would absolutely use again in the future .

A really great job, couldn't be happier. A highly professional service using an extremely powerful and versatile stump grinder. Track mounted and remotely operated made short work of some very large tree stumps, and able to access difficult locations. Work diligently carried out with a keen eye to safety and protection of surrounding areas (which included windows). Ground left cleared and ready for planting and grass seeding. After removing Unpruned 35 year old leylandii from two boundaries, the remaining stumps would be an ongoing maintenance issue. Black Bear Land Services ground out the stumps and ancillary major root systems and left a level surface enabling me to seed the area for easy mowing in the future.

Originally the work was to be carried out on Friday 19th Oct, but due to machine failure it was completed on the following Monday. We were informed of this at the time and very impressed when we received a phone call that evening to tell us he would be arriving on Monday 22nd. The end result is absolutely fantastic. Steve listened to what we wanted and sourced all the plants (a tropical theme). He then worked very hard to clear, remove roots, compost and plant. The garden was kept very tidy and he took a huge amount of pride to make it look perfect. We will be using him again and again!

40 metres of old hedging removed, stumps ground out, soil improved, new hedging, shrubs and trees planted. An excellent job at all stages. I obtained several quotes: Steve Fenn was clearly the most professional and knowledgeable. A plants man with many years in the trade, he gave good advice, selected good plants and did a thorough job of work. Friendly, helpful and ever concerned to keep me informed. The work could have caused collateral damage to lawns and driveway, but there was none. Site left immaculate on completion. I paid a fair price for the job and am very happy with his work.

Steve did exactly what was asked. He also gave us lots of advice on how best to achieve what we were after and more. He told us how long he would be, how he was going to do the work, problems that could arise due to the nature of the stumps that could wear on the machinery that could have an extra " small" cost involved however that didn't apply. Really pleased with the work, did a fantastic job and shall have him back when we need the other stumps removed.
